I hope you'll enjoy this card, it was one of the cards that we made on Saturday's class.

I used tim Holtz Stuff to say and Reflections stamp sets and Fancy & Floral Frames embossing folders, EK Success flower punches. Stamp the embossing folder with one of the reflection stamps and emboss onto white cardstock. Use mustard seed and frayed burlap to colour. Cover the front and inside as shown using Echo Park Essentials Style cardstock in yellow. To make card cut two pieces of bazzill white card 12 x 30 cms - fold in half and 11 x 30 cms - fold in half, then score and fold 7 cms from either side. Cover as shown and attach to inside card approx. 4 cms from each side - stick one side down and then close card to attach the other side. Check out the products at www.theglitterpot.co.uk.

These cards were made using tim Holtz Seasonal embossing folders and reflections stamps and of course distress inks - stormy sky and tumbled glass. Stamp the greeting across the folder with versafink onyx black, then using white cardstock emboss the image. Use the distress inks to add colour, then use perfect pearls - turquiose gently brushed over the snowflake emboss image. Add gems to centres and tie with sheer ribbon. I used Echo Park Winter Park cardstock.

For the tree card I used same folders and stamps, but used peeled paint and forest moss ink pads and perfect pearls - pearl brushed over the trees. The tag was cut out using Tim Holtz tag die.

We had great fun making these cards yesterday in my class. Bit tricking trying to get round on my gammy leg, but made it through the day. The first is this reindeer, using sizzix die. I love this new range of papers from Echo Park. Just had to add a bell, you always need to know when Rudolf is coming!

Gingerbread recipe

More fun making this gingerbread man card, again using sizzix die. It's a tri-fold card 4 x 12 inches. Added some brads, sponged him with faux icing sugar (paint). I downloaded and printed off a recipe on computer and made a pocket for it to sit in. Hope you enjoy the recipe! We loved munching on the real thing in my class.

I love this new Penny Black stamp ' snow dust'. I've stamped image in black onto white card, then apply double sided adhesive sheet over image, peel off the other side, add two gems and sprinkle with art institute crystqal glitter. Add some crystal gems to the corners and use Fancy Pants Brrr papers for a really pretty delicate look. (www.theglitterpot.co.uk)

Martha Stewart punches are just fab, especially when combined with sizzix dies. This card is a gatefold card and is shown closed in top picture. The bottom picture is the inside of the card. To make the flowers you need a strip of card 2 1/2" wide, punch out along one side, then line up the flower on the other side. Use daisy edge fan punch, bit of practice but fab result.

I just love these cats from Penny Black, 'primp' and 'fun times'. I combined them with Doodlebug papers, used ink pads to colour and added some glossy accents to enhance balloon, perfume bottles and mirror. I've also used nestibilities to cut out the stamped images. For the top card I shrunk down a greeting for a dangly piece. For the bottom I used daisy punches for the flowers. Bright and Girly!

Here's a cute card that I made for my niece for their new baby boy, Elliott Peter, haven't seen him yet, he weighed in at 8lb 13 ozs! I've used Craftwork Cards chipboard shapes and their range of 8 x 8 papers. EK Success retro flower punch. The greeting is from Personal Impressions. some pretty ribbons for his tail and trunk. And I just had to add some stickles around his ear.

I used the woodware 'icecream parfait' clear stamp set and some doodlebug papers. Try ripping and tearing the papers, it's a bit scarry at first, but just go for it!

Cogs & Clockworks

I've used Cuttlebug 'clockworks' embossing folder, Tim Holtz sizzix cogs die & Hobby Art Happy Birthday stamp. The base card is cream. I embossed the clockworks and gently rubbed ink over the top to highlight the detail and punched out some of the centres. After cutting out the cogs, I scrunched them up, opened up and scuffed over. Stamp the greeting onto cream card and distressed it with ink.

I used the Tim Holtz 'wood & brick' embossing folder with co-ordination card, embossed, scuffed and torn. 1" & 3/4" sun punches, Hobby Art 'general greetings' stamp. Thought it would be quite good to turn it into a shaker card. Added some nail heads to finish.

This card was fun to make, using sizzix animal print emboss folder with pink co-ordination cardstock - embossed and scuffed to reveal core colour. Layered onto white and black and tied together with various black and white ribbons. I also used Hobbyart Happy Birthday and Personal Impressiions mixed sentiments stamps for the greeting tags.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Card

I love this Hero Art Chocolate Chip Cookie stamp, My Minds Eye Pretty Please Pocket card and matching clip stand. I used a large book binding clip cover with matching paper add gems and ribbons - great for displaying your favourite card. For the card I cut a strip of card folded it into 3, cut of a piece diagonally from each end from fold to corner. Punch some holes down one side, added some ribbon, stuck one end over the other and along bottom to make a pocket. Stamp and emboss cookie recipe onto white cardstock, added ribbon to a mini clip and attached to the top - slide into pocket!!

Using a 3" scallop punch I cut out a circle, tinted it with chalks and inked the edges, I then stamped and embossed the message and of course added a gem. I punched the edge of a piece of bazzill with Fiskars scalloped lace punch and added some ribbon. I layered the In my Minds Eye Pretty Please cardstock and attached the above. This was one of my cards I did for a demo day at The Gltterpot.

I've used the 'Close to Cocoa' prints range from Stampin Up and cut them at whacky angles. I used the spiral punch down one side of the brown cardstock and attached Bazill brown pom poms to another. I then punched out a scallop circle and added a Craftwork Cards chocolate circle message to the centre - good enough to eat!

My inspiration for this card came from the spotty flower. I've used BasicGrey papers in browns and blues, Craftwork Cards circle messages, buttons and a spotty flower. Cut a strip of brown 3 x 14.4 cms and attach to card. Cut two scallop ovals from Nestabilities, again attach to card. Add a pretty flower, some buttons and a message. Round the corners of the card and hey presto!

I used 5 cms binding clips (available from any stationers) to make these tiny stands - great for displaying your precious photos or your favourite cards (they look great if you colour co-ordinate them). Just cut 2 strips of patterned cardstock or paper and stick to the clip using double sided tape. Add some pretty ribbons, flowers and buttons.

I've made these cards using Hero Arts Cupcake clear stamp set. Some pretty ribbons and doodlebug papers, Pebbles rub- ons and Craftwork cards birthday circles. On the second card I stamped the image onto vellum to make it look like the actual cake case. I added glitter glue for a bit of sparkle.

I love this stamp from Wild Rose Studio called Cat in Tree. I've stamped the image several times and 3D it. I added punched out flowers and liquid pearls to the centre of the flowers. I then mounted it onto orange co'rdinations cardstock then onto white and used Pebbles Basics orange flower/dot cardstock attached to white base card.

These are some fun and unusual pages I did using acetate. Just treat it the same as any scrap layout. The golf page is just the flip side of Jamie - the pages look like they're floating. Cut layering mats the same size for both sides - that way you won't see any edges from the other. Attach to acetate using your usual means of adhesion.

Canvas

As an alternative to a scrap page why not try a canvas. This is my daughter Claire.
Paint canvas with acrylic or poster paint, using double sided tape add some pretty papers. Distress the edges with ink, add a fab photo and embellesh. Being a wood frame its great to add ribbons with a stapler. Use a mini easil to display your artwork. Treat it like you would a scrapbook page.

As an alternative to a gift bag, why not make a gift tin. Just use a paint tin and cover with some lovely papers and embellesh with flowers, tags, ribbons, buttons - what ever really - I just stuck it on with double sided tape. Why not decorated it to colour co-ordinate with their own colour scheme in their house!!

All Zipped Up!

Take a 4 inch zip, make a template and cut out a 'Y' shape, transfer to doodlebug filigree paper and attach zip with double sided tape, attach to a 6 inch blank card, chalk all edges. Using Doodlebug Halloween sticker sheet, decorate two tags, ink edges and add glossy accents. Cut out a flower, attach to card with 3D foam pads. Add doodlebug black stitching around zip.

Stamp and emboss forever friends image and penny black Shoes & friends. Using double sided adhesive sheet cover image, peel off top layer and sprinkle with Art Institue glitter. Layer onto pink and bazzill black swiss dots cardstock. Punch a coule of holes into top right of one piece and tie with ribbons. Add a couple of bubblegum gems.

My Special Day

Well finally reached that big 50, not so bad really!! I had some excellent pressies and was well spoilt. Celebrated the day with a surprise family dinner - good food and great company. But the best was yet to come - Hubby treated me to a Spa weekend. I had a fantastic weekend with my daughters Claire & Lisa at Alexander House in Turners Hill. It was absolutely brill! Pampered and waited on all weekend. If you ever need to recharge your batteries then this really is the place to go - trust me! Can't wait till the next big one!!

Well anyone that knows me knows that this stamp was a must have! Penny Black 'Oink'.
I stamped and embossed the image three times so that I could decoupage Pig. Coloured with twinkling H2O's, added diamond glaze to nose and gems to centre of flowers. Layer onto pink cardstock. Stick Doodlebug paisley paper to white cardstock, stick to another piece of pink cardstock at a whacky angle, tie pink tulle around and stick to base card, then add 'oink' image. Add a couple of self adhesive pearls to paisley paper.

Stamp and emboss Hero Art High Heel shoes clear stamps and Penny Black message stamp. Cut out shoes and embellesh with 'sequins' Glitz It Glitter Glue, sheer ribbon and gems. Round right hand corners of base card, then cut two pieces of purple co-ordination cardstock. round corners and punch three holes to corner of each piece, attach to black cardstock and stick to card. Attach shoes using 3D foam pads, mat and layer message - rounding corners as you go, attach to card. Add small flower with gems in the centre.

I used the new Hero Art Clear Stamp set 'High Heels' and co-ordinations cardstock for this one. Cut 3 strips of purple co-ord. cardstock and stick to card. Stamp and emboss shoe and message. Layer onto more purple. Punch a couple of holes top right of shoe image and tie with sheer ribbon. Add gem and tie sheer ribbon to paper clip - attach to message. Adhere both pieces to card. Add glitter glue to shoe and 2 gems to top right of card.

Cut a piece of Minds My Eye cardstock 11 x 14.4 cms, then cut a slit 1.5 cms down from the top and 10cms long in the centre. Cover a lolly stick with matching card, ink edges, make a hole on one side. Cut a 9.5 cms circle in half and attach to lolly stick with d.s. tape, add a rub-on - attach to pattern piece of card with a glitter brad. Then attach to a 14.4 cms square white card. Add some ric rak to bottom edge and staple some more to top right. Stamp and emboss Penny Black Wish List 3 times, colour with H20's, cut and decoupage image attach to card with 3D foam pads.

Xmas head to toe

Cut a sheet of 12 x 12 red bazzill card stock in half and fold. Attach a piece of white spotty emboss bazzill to card. Using Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder and a piece of poinsietta co-ordinations cardstock, emboss, scuff and attach to card. Stamp and emboss Penny Black xmas head to toe stamp and colour using H20's. Add a woodware gold star brad. Add 'flufy stuff' to skirt hem, top of boots and bag - heat to puff up. Add a pom pom to hat. Layer and attach to card. Add 3 red gems to top right. Then using Pebbles rub-on onto white cardstock, layer, add gem and attach to card with 3D foam pads.

Take 2 sheets of white 12 x 12 bazzill cardstock and cut half inch off of one side of one sheet and score and fold half inch of the other - stick together with double sided tape. Take piece of pattern paper and layer onto black cardstock and stick to card. Cut a small strip of black and same pattern paper, layer together, tie some ribbons around it and attach to card. Cut out a large '21' , add some flower, brads and ribbons, using 3D foam pads attach to a square of pattern card, layer onto pink and stick to card. Die cut 'daughter' and stick to top right of card. I used my Cricut to cut out the numbers and letters.

Snowy & Hedgy

Stamp and emboss Penny Black 'Snowy & Hedgy', colour with H20's. Add 'crystal' stickles to hat and snow. Layer onto pink and silver mirri card. Cut a piece of DCWV 'rose-tinted christmas' 5.5 x 5.5" attach to a 6" x 6" white textured card blank. Stick a piece of the 'rose-tinted' sticky ribbon strip down left side. Cut a small piece of same sticky ribbon and attach to top right, then add a 'rose-tinted' brad. Add a couple of clear gems to ribbon.

Holly Jolly!

Take a white textured 6" x 6" card and using the Bazzill In Stitch'z 'circles' template, pierce and stitch 3 circles. Stamp and emboss Penny Black 'Holly Jolly' three times, colour using H20's. Cut out one whole image and just the holly wreath, curl slightly and layer pieces together. Attach to a piece of green cardstock and attach to card with 3D foam pads. Add a Craftwork Cards 'mery christmas' die cut to top right. Stick three green crystals around this.

To make this card cut a 12 x 12" sheet of raven bazzill cardstock and fold in half. Cut a piece of pink bazzill 6" by 2.5" and trim long edge using a scallop blade, then pierce a hole in each scallop - attach to bottom of card. Then using Bazzill In Stitch'z 'bring me flowers' template, pierce and stitch flower, stem and leaf. Cut around the edges, curl slightly and attach to black bazzill with 3D foam pads. Layer onto pink bazzill and attach to left side of card. Using Making Memories glimmer alphabet stickers in pink - stick down right side of card.

Please don't have a heart attack!!!!

Now I know it's been a few months (cough cough) but i've been really busy and unfortunately the blog had to take a back seat but i'm now hoping to be back a bit more regularly!!

I've got a few things that I will be uploading in the following days (life permitting), some scrap pages and some cards that i've made for the craft shop that I work in, so my little brown and white sheep (ha ha Mrs Wonka :o)) won't be the first thing that you see.

Winter Came & Went!!

What about the weather a few weeks ago - Snow was great my grandson loved it! Unfortunately I tried to a boot fair that day with my daughter - it came down like a blizzard - frantically trying to put stuff back in the car whilst it was filling up with snow - What a sight!!

Got some great pictures up the local park whilst out with the dog (Rolo) but sorry no pictures of us covered in snow at boot fair.

Hi, Jst thought you might be interested in two great books that I've recently found to help with sentiments and wording for both scrapbooking and cardmaking. There by Linda LaTourelle - The Ultimate Guide to the Perfect Word and the Ultimate Guide to the Perfect Card. Whereas some other books are a bit too mushy for my liking these are fab! There is alphabetical order so easy to find what you are looking for. Both available from Amazon.

Baby Shower

When one of the girls at work was leaving to have her first baby, we thought we'd throw her a baby shower. I had great fun making her a Nappy Cake. Yeh thats right!made from nearly 100 disposable nappies! She loved it and now takes pride of place in the nursery. This is her - Nikki - with her Mum. We gave her lots of lovely pressies and wish her and Jay best wishes for the future.

Craft Product Road Test

I was recently asked to road test a craft product for Design Objectives for Becks Fagg. My product was the 3L Scrapbook Adhesive EZ Glue Runner. Was a little disappointed at first to receive it, was expecting something a little more exciting. However after using it I found it to be a great little runner, easy to use, strong glue. Worked great on both scrapbooks and cards. And of course it's pink! Although at £4.99 is not cheap and you can't buy refills. So once used throw it away, although you do get a lot for your money.

1. How often do you use adhesive? All the time

2. What is the main type of adhesive you use? Double sided tape & Tombow glue stick

3. What do you look for in an adhesive? Something that is repostionable yet strong

4. How easy is the product to remove from its packaging? Very

5. Does the product appeal to you -i.e. does it look good? Yes

6. How easy is the product to use? Very

7. How well does the product perform? Extremely

8. Do you like the product? Yes

9. Do you consider it good value for money? yes

10. Would you consider buying this product in the future? Probably

11. What would make you more likely to buy this product in the future? Refills

12. What would make you less likely to buy this product in the future? If it was a little cheaper.

Hi there, Well has it really been that long - sorry folks. Lifes a bit hectic at mo. - you know work, kids, half term, grandchildren, well and just life in general. And not to mention that all important craft shopping! I said not to mention that! Sometimes I don't know which way to turn first!!!

Big Stamp & Scrapbook Show

Hi, whats your favourite die cutting machine? Whats your favourite die? Do you just use the alphabets or different shape dies or both? What do you do with them and what do use them for? Would love to know. Is there a new die cutting machine out there that I haven't heard off?

Scrapbook Weekend

Hi there again, what a great weekend we had and thanks to Sarah for organising it and to Ronnie and Emma for cooking. There was eight of us Sarah, Emma, Vicki, Ness, Ronnie, Lisa, Alison and me and we definately cropped 'til we dropped!! The cottage was in Bognor Regis and was great, large and spacious with plenty of room to crop, relax and eat and sleep. Although the doors did rattle a bit Sunday night with the storm. The poor maltesers took the brunt of it all - officially chocced out! It was great - we got so many layouts completed with no interruptions from the kids and the usual. Its was good to share inspirations and ideas. We had a great choice of die cutting machines - Quickutz, Big Shot, Cuttlebug and the Cricut. And plenty of alphabets and dies to choose from. I would definitely recommend it - just find a cottage big enough for your needs, book and enjoy!

I would love to hear from anyone who has done a similar thing - whether it be a weekend, a day crop, an evening, a party, a charity event, a scrapclub or anything else.

Scrapping Weekend

Hi, thought I'd tell you about a scrapbook weekend I've got planned for this weekend. It was arranged by my friend Sarah and there's eight of us girls going. She's rented out a cottage in Bognor Regis, Sussex - scrapping all weekend -even in our pjs - might not bother getting dressed! with the odd wine and choccie break in between!!
